Tricky one to answer because people can react to anticoagulants (or any other prescription drug) differently, but I have been taking apixaban for a few months and have not experienced any side effects that I am aware of. Other posters here also generally report no adverse side effects
No doubt in my mind - Apixaban.
I also am on apixaban for nearly a year now. I had to have a colonoscopy and carpal tunnel release. Off apixaban 5 days before and 2 after for both procedures. Scary thinking about not taking it. I have had no side affects unless laziness is a side affect.
On Apixaban - no side effects that I am aware of.
Saw the comment above about warfarin. Having to regularly visit blood clinics, monitor INR, adjust dosage and watch what you eat.....no side effects with warfarin? Really?
I've tried pretty much all of the NOACs , and for ME edoxaban has the least side effects. It depends on the person though, we're all different.
For me Apixaban felt like it was killing me, after just 2 doses I was coughing up blood in a and E and felt like I was having a heart attack
ooo! I have just taken my third dose of apixaban. Hope I don't end up like you.
It's very unlikely, I seem to be allergic to everything 😣
Everybody reacts differently , I take Rivaroxaban with no side effects at all.
Didnt particularly like Warfarin ( mild nausea )
I take Dabigatran (Pradaxa) with no issues. I think issues with any of them are rare.
Everyone is different - I felt I was better on Apixaban than warfarin
I have been taking Rivaroxaban since November and was very nervous about taking it but have had no side effects whosoever.
I am on Rivaroxaban and was worried about taking it with all the warnings but no problems at all xx
Apixaban without a doubt!
I was on Warfarin for 4 years but was rushed into A&E with a gastro bleed. Been on Low Weight Heparin (injected) for 3 years now with minimal side effects, mainly bruising at the injection site. No way am I going back to Warfarin!!
