You will be fine Paddinton....I'm suffering with a duff wisdom tooth at the mo and it's giving me jip and not looking forward to the extraction either....rather have an ablation!!! Just remember to take things easy for at least two weeks.....no lifting etc etc. They may not mention this, but try not to worry if you have a bit of AF after and/or ectopics as it will take 3/6 months for the scar tissue to settle and do it's stuff.....best of luck, let us know how you get on......

Hey Flapjack don't for get to ask for Aesthetic with out Adrenaline in it when you go to the Dentist. It will not affect AF. Thought I would mention it as not slot of people know this.
Rob x
Thanks for the reminder.....if I had my way, I'd use a piece of string and the front door!!!
You will be fine. As you know I had mine in the Freeman in July and I was done under the urgent banner. Unfortunately it hasn't worked but if I do get offered another one I'll def have it. Just make sure you prepared for lying flat for few hours afterwards. Best of luck x
I'm awaiting an ablation at the Freeman.. Please keep in touch and let us know how it goes. I keep thinking ' Should I have it or not?' but general opinion seems to think it is a good idea.
Remember, you are undergoing ablation therapy - a 'course' of treatment - and the only treatment currently available that actually cures AF. If it doesn't get it all first time around it doesn't mean ablation hasn't worked. Just like many therapies, it might take two, three or more sessions to obstruct all those rogue signals but the important thing to bear in mind is that you're on your way to ridding yourself of this horrible condition.
And that's not just a good idea - it's bloomin' marvelous!
Good luck.....
Hi Paddington mine is 19th May!! Seems af has been around for ever - think it is about 27 years ago I was suffering with what was explained to me as a heart blip but nothing g to worry about. Famous last words- if I was actually about to take gce in af I would probably get an honours degree. Perhaps now aged 80 I should maybe write a book about my life with AF!
I am sounding very blasé about it all but deep down I'm relieved, a little bit anxious but above all I'm so pleased it is being done, my family and myself (particularly) are all happy about our new addition to the family - willow she is 6 days old and beautiful. I'm her Great Nan and she lives in Kent and I live in Northampton so longing to meet her and have a cuddle.
Hopefully because of having this op next week I shall be a very fit, healthy and loving great NANNA when I get to have a cuddle. Apparently af can be hereditary ( my mum had it so does my bruv so hopefully it will bypass this new addition to our family! Hope a also that it will bypass my two daughters as well. Will keep anyone up to date about success of op and how little willow is doing! Take care everyone love Gillyflower 13
