I had a cardioversion on 13th January and have been on Amiodorone since just before that, my heart is now beating normally but when I cam home I was terribly breathless, saw my Dr and she took me off Bisoprol 1.5 mg and within a few days I was breathing normally again but still on Amiodorone.

That's interesting, because most people would have blamed the Amiodarone!
Don't make the mistake that I did after cardioversions and ablations and that's take myself of the drugs because I thought, I'm ok now and I don't need them. Its taken me a long time to realise that's not the thing to do. After about 12 years of AF I've only managed to get that into my thick head this last year or so. Have always fought against taking any medication, but the truth is sometimes you just have to in order to feel well and get better.

I was advised to take Amiodarone for 3 months before and after cardioversion because it increases success rates, but can have some nasty side effects. No problems since but stayed on Bisoprolol and was told keeping control of blood pressure most important factor.
