No indeed. Nothing to worry about. I have one too (inserted about 9 months ago). The procedure to insert is very straightforward under local anaesthetic and pain free. I haven't known mine was there since Day 1 and it has been very comforting to know that any incidence of AF will be picked up and the data sent to the Coronary Unit caring for me.

hi tk11: can you tell me why you had it re-sited? I had mine put in last October and I still feel it bulging out on top by my breast. I still put a band aid there to try to keep it settled. I have not gotten used to it yet and didn't know they could re-position it.

It had migrated down into my cleavage but was very buoyant. We put it off for a while but it needed doing.

Thankfully it was not a stressful experience.

Thanks tk11. I think that is what happened to me, but I can't get my doctor to do anything about it. He thinks I'll get used to it, but every time I sit down, the one end pops up as though it wants to break through my skin. Uncomfortable to say the least. Can I ask about the procedure to redo it? Where is the recorder situated now? I just can't find any information on the internet about where it should be placed...

The scar where the old device was taken out is about two inches below the new one. Mine was interfering with my breast. They will not resite it because of protruding or for cosmetic reasons I don't think.

It does take a while to get really used to it being there... mine has now captured the events they wanted to see so its well worth persevering.

Good luck x
