Dr Sanjay Gupta:Afib The Stomach-Heart Connection
What a top guy!!!
Wonderful video. Thank you Sanjay - keep them coming!
For me it is not actually "reflux" - it's mainly bloating and/or difficult digestive *processes* that coincide with ectopics and AF. They occur at *exactly* the same time, and conversely, they rarely occur separately.
I get bloating just when I eat high fibre foods - and that bloating invariably leads to ectopics and occasionally AF. If I can release gas - the ectopics immediately stop.
As someone who experiences the connection between gut and heart - I feel certain that digestive problems do trigger AF and ectopics - apparently it will take time for medical research to catch up with what those of us with AF and ectopics already know.
I would think logically that if you eat well you put less strain on your system and therefore your heart.
This guy has released some interesting videos on auto-immunity. I know AF doesn't fall in that category, but I do think the solutions (helping your microbiome) he promotes are worth considering livingmatrix.com/betrayal-t...
Thank you for doing this for us. Always informative
I have taken Omeprazole for acid reflux on and off as needed the last 5-6 years. After my first AFIB episode last November, I found that indigestion or acid reflux were a trigger for heart pains/increased heart rate/etc. I did a round of Omeprazole in early January and have felt much better since. i also avoid alcohol and try not to eat much before bed. I find that I'm more susceptible to symptoms over night.
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule This has been a most helpful video
