First two weeks on rivaroxaban were fine,no problems at all. Third week a different story- stomach cramps diarrhoea feeling sick headache and now very painful joints. Had a bad night and now the room is spinning round. Staying in bed. Are these all side affects and will they lessen over the coming weeks?

Do you think so ? I have had labyrinthitis many times before but not as bad as this for years

I would be surprised if side effects came on very suddenly after two weeks with no problems but either way if I felt as poorly as you do I would take medical advice. Btw I take Rivaroxaban and I think the only side effects I have are slightly loose bowels and falling hair and even those I am not sure about! Always take with your largest meal to avoid indigestion.

Hi, I started rivaroxaban on 22nd December in preparation for an ablation. I started with severe stomach pains after a few days and posted on here to see if anyone else had experienced the same. I am still getting stomach pain but it is now less severe. i havnt been to see the doctor as i should only be on them for a few months after my ablation (on 24th January). If it was long term i would see a doctor for possible alternatives, so that may be an idea for you.

I was prescribed Rivaroxaban post catheter ablation procedure for AF and the biggest side effect for me was the joint pain that these tablets caused.

Sounds like a virus to me too. However it is better to take the Rivaroxaban in the evening with a main meal as I found it can cause stomach cramps if not taken with a meal. Hope you get better soon .
