I think it depends on whether you are trying to keep a record of what is happening for an appointment?? Tell us more about yourself and diagnosis and people will advise!!

Why? Seriously we all do that in the early days. The thing is it is pretty pointless really and serves no purpose other than to add stress but we still do it anyway. Try to relax.

Read all you can about AF from the AF Association website as knowledge is power and the more you know the less you worry.

I can relate to what you are doing ,used to check my pulse over 10 times a day ,it can become obsessional and like bob says can only cause some anxiety .i'm on PIP flecainaide and the only time I check my pulse now is to confirm i'm in AF at which point it will be time to take it .Make sure you have had a full assessment .try to direct your thoughts to something else when thinking about it .

Look after your self

Steve

Do you need to do it? No

But I do, especially when I feel any funny bumps or flutters. In all honesty it just gives you something else to worry about
