Had date for ablation 14th sept only been waiting 18 months was supposed to have been last November  have been told to stop apixaban two days before bit scared now but AF episodes are getting more frequent

That's just what happened to me. The episodes became so frequent that they were drastically affecting my life. Flecainide was having little or no effect so, although I was very anxious about it, I had PVI ablation. It turned my life around. No more AF, no more Flecainide and no more Bisoprolol. Absolutely worth doing.

It's really helpful when the AF gets worse before your ablation and sweeps away all the doubts about perhaps being able to cope with it and not bothering to take the plunge.

Here's hoping it will change your life significantly for the better.  I found it scary but it has been a nettle well worth grasping.  All the best!

My Af increased to 3 x 24 hours episodes a week..I welcomed the abalation when my oppotunity came, never looked back...good luck

Hi Mazza. I'm having my ablation today and feeling apprehensive, but had an episode of af last night. Only lasted 30 minutes, but a timely reminder why I'm having it done! All the best to you. Jean.
