Reading it up on Google I think most people should avoid it like the plague. The only pain medication suitable for people, with AF unless prescribed by a doctor should be paracetamol. All thing like ibruprophen are strictly no no.

Tylenol and paracetamol are both acetaminophen and ok for A.F.

I stand corrected. Different countries different names!

Yes quite, Tylenol ad paracetamol are the same. However, Tylenol comes in very many different shapes, some, for instance, contain codeine, some even a mixture of paracetmol and aspirin. Reading labels is paramount! :-)

Hi bobd

Keen to hear the problem with ibuprofen, as did not know any analgesia was problematic. Am new to this af only getting diagnosis in October after years of random episodes

Ibuprophen has been linked to AF as a CAUSE not just a trigger. A study in Denmark showed that long term use of such drugs has been linked to the onset of AF and for some years in UK we have been told to avoid it. There can also be interaction with some anticoagulants such as warfarin.

I have used it before and after my cryoablation without any issues.

Is the Tylenol with codeine okay? Or better left out. Having bit of painful pleurisy and was prescribed the Tylenol with codeine....hydrocodone .......also ER Doctor wanted to give me steroids to reduce inflammation which I said no thanks. Just didn't sound good.
