Have received a copy of the Consultant letter to my GP. Very informative but there's one bit I don' t understand
' We found unusual pulmonary vein arrangement in that there was a common vein on the left side'
Anyone know how to clarify please.

There are usually four pulmonary veins going in to the right atrium. Some people.like you have a conjoined vein so only three arrive there.
Bob
I would not be unduly bothered, Lorna, as I don't think it's that unusual to have only 3 pulmonary veins. Something like 25% do on the left side and about 3% have a single vein on the right side. The two veins join before they enter the heart.
Following on from what Bob and Relim have written, I also have this conjoined arrangement along with 25% of the population. It means a large entry hole into the heart so a cryoballoon as used in cryoablation would be too small.
My son said "Bad genes, Mam," and I replied " For all you know, my plumbing arrangements might be superior to everyone else's!"
They did manage cryo on it by...( their terminology, not mine!)
'With a deep-throating balloon' !
What has Linda Lovelace go to do with it. lol
You're taking us back a few years there Bob
Who's Linda Lovelace? Never heard of her
Google the name .... No blushing !
Sheltered life eh Koll.
That is so funny .
Even in deepest darkest New Zealand I have heard of Linda Lovelace.
