Thank you everyone for your replies and my ablation is on 9th October not August don't know why I put Aug.
My medication is 5 mg bisoprolol, 2.5 candesartan, 20mg omeprazole, 40 simvastatin and 20mg xarelto. I find AF is getting worse and bisoprolol does not seem to help.
Since I wrote post I have gone back into NR thank god.
Rob.

So, nothing for the AF really Bisoprolol for rate only not rhythm. Af is almost always progressive. Hang in there I guessed you meant October. Not long now to a new way of life.
Difficult question and whilst I don't want to worry you, my first actually made things slightly worse but then again it was progressing very rapidly when I went in so maybe it would have done anyway. Many people are sorted on the first procedure, many have an improved quality of life and a very few have complications and problems. Be positive is the best advice I can give. It got me through AF and it got me through prostate cancer.
No AF last seven years and worth every second. Probably could not have got through prostate cancer if I still had AF! Latest problem is arthritis but I'm a luccky so and so and will live with that.
