Had flutters and fast heart rate again last night, so popped to A&E and my heart was in af, it's been 2mths since my ablation, so this is a major blow, back NSR just now but what now??? Really depressed

I'm sorry to hear, it does happen, and it can be the "blanking period". Time needed for the scarring to take place to create a proper barrier. Don't lose hope, and get advice as to whether it is better for you to medicate or not to keep the heart calm for as long as possible during the healing process. I continued PIP as I don't like the feeling of the meds, but we all have different scenarios. HOpe things settle soon!
I hope so I'm so depressed about it.
It is a blow, but listen to Rellim! It can take time. Grieve a little moment, be scared a smaller moment and move on to thinking about all the moments you are NOT in AF!!!!! May they grow in increasing number!
I can fully understand you are feeling down having had the two ablations in the last six months or so and still getting AF.
The first three months is considered a blanking period after an ablation so it may be just a temporary blip. For me it has taken a good 6 months to feel the heart has reasonably settled, and I am still getting ectopics.
No doubt being young you are thinking long term. I got AF more than 20 years ago when I was early forties and got very down about the prospects. Eventually had an ablation ( a relatively new procedure then) which lasted 15 years and I had a back to normal lifestyle.
So they can work - have faith.
If this does not settle you may want to consider a second opinion from a different EP
I hope you get resolved soon.
Oh bad luck, Kaiser, but not necessarily a major blow. It's disheartening (sorry) of course, but be not downcast because lots of us do this and it can take time before the ablation takes full effect. I had a bit of AF on and off for 7 months after mine. Have been in NSR for nearly 3 months now. And I dropped flecainide (having been on 300mgs a day before the ablation) at the beginning of July. Be optimistic!
Do be too put out, I was always told it may be 2 or even 3 ablations before they hit the right spot.
Or even 7 to 8 months. It is a slow process so try not to expect too much too early and concentrate on the good times.
I'm feel for you...I am going to be having an ablation in the near future after having two cardioversion which were successful but only for a short while. I am pinning all my hopes on ablation even though my EP has said there is only a 50/50 chance of success.
I have though seen lots of people post that they have had three or more ablations before they got sorted. Good luck xxxxx
