Good to see Haimar Zubeldia, who rides for the US-based RadioShack/Nissan/Trek Cycle Race Team is up there at 7th overall in the Vuelta. Haimar was successfully treated for persistent atrial fibrillation early in 2012 and as since competed at the highest level in one of the most demanding of sports.

Always good to see anyone who's had or still has AF doing great things :)

Encouraging news for AF sufferers. I'm still wrapped in cotton wool at the moment but energy levels rising now. Well done Haimar!

I'm on my way too Koll, looking forward to the Pico's and Galicia. It's going to be frustrating tho as I'm going to have to stay off my bike on the climbs as I'm only just 2 months post ablation but will be cheering Haimer on.

It's ace to hear of fellow athletes getting back at it!! My Dr thinks exercise is a long walk and doesn't get unless the dial is at "11" it's not excercise! Well done Haimar

We've just come back from North Spain Elbows. What a fantastic place. Went up into the Picos, right up high over 2000m. Back on my bike now as well and starting to push myself a bit, no problems glad to say. Really good way to keep fit.
