Slow pulse and missed or clumped heart beats

What does this sound to you please?

Ectopics if your heart feel like it is missing beats .I sometimes get periods where it goes three or four beats pause three or fours etc. . It is upsetting but apparently benign. How slow is slow? If below 40 then I would speak to my doctor. It may be the drugs doing this so what are you on ?

Bob is there any correlation between Ectopics and AF? Recently I have experienced ectopic beats, which in my AF journey so far I haven't noticed before. I must say these are nearly always after exercise. It may be I haven't really checked that much in the past, but of late I have noticed them. The reason I may have noticed them is I have had three episodes 3 weekends running and it's hard not to get a little OCD with pulse checking

Ranges from 55 to 76 beats. I take Sotalol

Hi, the range you have given for your heart rate appears fairly normal. I can't speak about the clumps because I don't know much about them. If it is making you feel tired or ill I would talk to your doctor. Going down to 55 could possibly make you feel a little dizzy at times.

Sabine Ernst (look her up ) once said that ectopics are a good thing as it shows that the heart is trying to go into AF and failing. Normal people get them as well as us AFers, up to 200 a day apparently but the trouble with us is we get so paranoid about our tickers we feel every one of them .

The range your heart is in is normal but I would bet it is beating at the slow end when you have those little 'runs'.

It sound like premature atrial beats to me, which slip in when the heart beats slower and are supposed to be harmless.

As with everything else if you are really worried do see your dr. We just get terribly aware of our heart beats. I have had to hide my alivecor as was living on it
