Googled it, hereditary stroke? Honestly had never heard of it, sorry...

Thanks for replying. It's a blood vessel disorder that runs in families. It was hard to find and wondered if anybody else had any experience of it.

CADASIL is a rare neurological genetic vascular disorder. It causes stroke in young adults.It is often misdiagnosed as other neurological disorders such as MS, ALS, Parkinsons, Alzheimers and others. see curecadasil.org

Thank you Bahunt, I found this site too, I have also found a paper by one Dr called Dr Muir who wrote a lot of data about its prevalence in Glasgow which makes for a lot of interest for me as this is where my mothers family is from. Also he has received a grant from the Stroke society to study furthermore testing of this disease . I have been very tiered for the last few days so resting then I will look further and take up with the stroke society as I have a home appointment with them on the 1st July.

There is are several support groups on Facebook for CADASIL one is CADASIL support UK. Do you have CADASIL?

I have some sort of blood vessel disorder, trying to find which one, I have had about 5 mini strokes now all leaving there mark. Younger family members showing similar signs. We. Have a Heamotoligist in contact with specialists in a America asking for advice and opinions. It's always a worry whether to press for answers as the truth can have more consequences than being in limbo
