Does anyone know when the new heart monitor (Reveal LINQ - featured on Breakfast TV) will be available in the UK?

Hi Patricia, I just watched the link via ad a site, from what I understood and picked up it is on trial in the UK, I noticed under the cardiologists title he was performing procedure at Eastbourne hospital, I could of seen it wrong but I'm pretty sure it's already being tested here, I have the currently used reveal device implanted where you have to hold activator over it, this new device looks great with it all being done over wifi and satellite, I love this age of technology, things are improving for us all the time

Hi Patricia, I also heard them say in the report the procedure was done at Eastbourne Hospital but I don't recall any mention about any other hospitals in the uK implanting the device or having the technology in place.

Does anyone know how people are selected as being appropriate to have the monitor?

Hi Patricia, an implant was carried out at the James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough, followed by another implant at Eastbourne General. I don't think they said when other hospitals will follow suit, looking good so far so hopefully soon

I have one but it will not pick up comatosing on eating daily as relies on me , in sedated state, to record which can't , and , also those with a call centre approach . So my safety is still at risk as cannot access assistance from sensors that cannot be programmed . Many of the tests it is programmed for do not show true picture, however, as an aside, it did show pulmonary hypertention when being implanted while other tests have showed no problem since the cardiac arrest .
