I'm no expert Maitha but since the atria is what is affected by the rogue impulses it is hard to see why it should, however, heart surgery in general can be a cause of AF.. AF is when the left atria does not contract and pump in a regular way and the aorta is at the bottom of the left ventricle so quite a way from the atria. Never say never mind you.
