Brain Fog help beyond Ginko Biloba

Hello - So 10 years before I got into HT I used ginko because it seemed to keep me a bit sharper and I think it has helped a bit over this past year on HT, but I do feel the fog coming up a bit. Does anyone else have success with another supplement?

Not with a supplement but with some actions. I find that ending my showers with 2 minutes of very cold water make me feel sharper, as if waking up for a second time. I also spend a minute or so on my inversion table to make the blood rush to my head.

The benefit does not last all day but it helps for a bit.

Cold water Mascouche! 🥶 Was doing for a while. I also take methylphenidate, also known as Ritalin, a couple of times a day. And I'm trying to figure out safe Estrogen add-back, but without success. Of course exercise! Always exercise!

Oh I also take Concerta which is similar to Ritalin. I did not bring that one up because Jackwfrench's post asked for supplements, I simply assumed he was looking for non-pharmaceutical help. :)

However I should have mentioned Curcubrain and Dopamucuna, both of which are supposed to provide cognitive function/brain support.

I still have good days and bad days when it comes to brain fog, but I am quite certain I have fewer bad ones with all these things than without.

Exercise is the best supplement by far, for this and everything else.

take a look at Lion’s mane. It’s a mushroom (we get the powder and mix it into our morning coffee - no taste) which seems helpful.

Ditto! Albeit, I can taste the difference, but I drink it anyway.

Lions Mane Mushroom powder (other mention too).

No, I didn't become Einstein, but my short-term memory improved. [Sidebar: humorously, I call it D-cubed (DDD), dementia-doorway-disease = as soon as I walk thru a doorway, or into another environment I forgot why I go there, so I walk back to where I was and remember again! LOL! UGH! Better with LMM = Lions Mane Mushroom powder with morning coffee.]

We all walk in different shoes, good luck in your journey! Godspeed!

I've never tried ginko but I know that Provigil has helped me the last 2+ years. You can ask your oncologist about it.

I have those symptoms when using medical marijuana. I use it at night for sleeping, and my dosage is moderate, but the longer I use it, the foggier I get (if slowly). I take breaks here and there and still get the good sleep effect for a few nights.

Obviously, that wasn't an answer to your question about relief from ADT brain fog, but I've never had brain fog from 6 years of Lupron (never had AA or Enzalutamide).

Not a supplement, but adderal and Ritalin are known to help.

as others said, lions mane in the morning, exercise work well. If that doesn't help, look into microdose of magic mushrooms. It lifts the fog.
