Has anyone heard about a scan in the Netherlands that is more accurate than a PSMA?
CT Scan: Has anyone heard about a scan... - Advanced Prostate...
CT Scan
Yes, but only for lymph nodes.
It is called nano MRI. I am not sure what is the false negative or positive? It picks up most of the lymph nodes with cancer, more than the PSMA pet CT with contrast scan.
Have a look my first post was about it.
Head-to-Head Comparison of 68Ga-Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen PET/CT and Ferumoxtran-10-Enhanced MRI for the Diagnosis of Lymph Node Metastases in Prostate Cancer Patients
Melline G M Schilham et al. J Nucl Med. 2021.
Here is my post about the nano MRI. You could find more information there.
I suspect it picks up a lot of false positives.
I've had the scan, many years ago, and do not know of any such predilection.
Is it hard to get it done?
Very easy when I did it. Overseen by Dr. Professor Jelle Barentsz, a very helpful man, get more information at the following. Payment was only accepted after completion--several thousand euros. Everyone speaks perfect English, except the recorded instructions for breathing during the MRI were in Dutch.

How soon till they are available in US?
I don't think it will be in the foreseeable future. When my radiologist here, who trained with Zelenski at MSK, saw my scans he immediately called Barentsz and asked to license the technology for the US. He was turned down, I think because, like Mayo and their Choline C-11 PET scan, Radboud needs to get their money back and, for the nano-iron scan, they figured they would get more revenue without the competition. Also other scans, available here, are becoming about as good--I do not know the details of the various scans and this is all from more than ten years ago and my mind grows foggy.
