is enzalutamide similar to zytiga (abiraterone)?

Hi! Enza blocks the androgen receptors by binding to them, while Zytiga inhibits testosterone production.

Thank you. Is one better than the other? Or is it just a doctor’s preference. When my husband started treatment (Lupron, Zytiga and prednisone) we had no clue about other med possibilities. Fortunately, what he’s on is working, but the more I learn, the more I question!

It’s highly individual, I would not change something that is working. Unless there are bad adverse effects involved
