Thanks Darryl, very informative video!
Very useful..
I have a video-call appointment with Dr. Joice of Columbia Doctors (NY Presbyterian, Columbia Univ. Cornell-Weill) about exactly these issues. I am considering the sling to address my activity related incontinence (stress incontinence).. and was thinking about the "sling".. My appointment is to discuss is this an answer suitable for me (a 83Gy IG/IMRT/Arc/Boost radiation patient who was restricted until a local urologist green-lasered me, turning restriction into incontinence.)
Her talk gave me several things I need to ask the doctor about. I'm not considering the artificial sphincter due to the need to open it to pee.. I'm 76, and can imagine a time when I'd have to ask others to grab my nuts and open it up so I could pee. I don't see myself doing that. The sling is touted by Boston Scientific as being suitable for my issues (small leakages, primarily caused by movement, no problems overnight or when seated.) I want to talk with someone who has installed a lot of them about what the success rates of it actually are.
Thanks Darryl.. useful video!
