take care, I lost my dad too 4 months ago, but we were not brave enough like you to sing for him. As we were not accepting the reality, take care and God bless, dad is a first hero always for the daughters. I miss my first hero so much.
So sorry for your loss. I read that your Father stopped his Xtandi 10 months ago. That is a long time for the PCa to take over in a late stage. You must find relief that he is no longer in pain or suffering. There has to be a better way. Hard on families. Wish you didn't have to suffer this loss. I recall that your father entered hospice some time back. Now he is at peace. I’m sorry for your loss.
I know that none of us are getting out alive, but it always hurts my heart to hear of the sorrow loved ones endure when someone passes.

Your family were there with him at his passing. All of you showed how important he was in your lives to him. You all gave him a precious gift on which no value can be placed.
The disease was not only long and difficult for him but also for those who loved him.
Take time now for yourselves as needed. Grieve as necessary. Give thanks for a shared life when the grief subsides a little. The separation that death imposes on us often causes conflicting emotions. Again, take the time you need. Family friends and clergy can be helpful, and sometimes --not. There will be times when being alone is best, letting you sort out your emotions and memories.
It takes time. We never get over the loss of someone we loved. We learn to live with the loss. We learn to cope.
It is a bad bargain that life gives us. But would we choose not to experience the love to avoid the pain? The fine print at the end of a contract always has a catch or two.
Try to find peace. Try to find strength with family. Find your own strength. It is within you. Honor him with your life.

I can only pray that at our passing we will be surrounded by love and music as you provided for your dad. It clearly shows how much you loved him and how much you will miss him. What a wonderful way to send your father to his final reward. Surrounded by family and hymns. No hospital, strangers or heroic efforts by paramedics. Here was a loved man! My heart goes out to his family he left behind, for the moment.
