Dosetaxel and lupron? Many options. Not sure what’s available in the Philippines. What does your doctor say?

You should discus doing ADT plus abiraterone and docetaxel. If you have only one metastasis the treatment of the primary prostate tumor may offer some survival advantage. It is not the SOC yet.

Thank you. Will definitely discussing this with my doctor. Anyway its really the price of these meds that are concerning since they are a lot expensive here. Im just starting so i have to wait and if there are improvements

Casodex is not enough. You need Lupron and docetaxel or abiraterone, enzalutamide or apalutamide - whichever is available in the Phillipines.

The drugs are very expensive, but the manufacturers offer significant discounts to those unable to pay. Xtandi, for example, shows up as $9,500/mo on my Medicare statement. Fortunately I’m covered by socialized medicine.

Add Lupron and continue with Casodex and watch how low your PSA falls.

If you cannot find an ADT shot that is affordable there (Lupron or one of several similar) then estradiol patches or gel could be a less expensive option. Search PATCH on this site to see discussions and links. However that does not cover the addition of the advanced androgen drugs mentioned nor the docetaxel. Need to research what options and possible payment supports from manufacturers are available there.

Have been reading about Lupron and really finding out good outcomes from it.

Lupron is ADT right?

Yes. First line ADT. It is a must have treatment if you have mets. Other treatments are often added to it.

Check with your pharmacies there to see if they have Oestrogel...E2 gel made in France by Besins. I am in Thailand without health insurance and this product has been working wonders for me! Haven't been to a doctor in over 4 years.
