Dukoral cholera oral vaccine was taken by several of us a couple of years ago. Is anyone going to take a booster dose? I am considering it as soon as they open the Canadian border.

I am but at the moment I’m overwhelmed with changing Dr appts due to a detached retina that prevents me from flying until the surgery heals. Keep us informed. Thank-you!

Are you considering the double dose again? There is a single dose that is a booster but is only good for three months against cholera no info PC

I will take it again. Its good for 2 yrs so I will take it again after India opens up. Trip to India was cancelled in 2020 due to Covid. Still plan to go there God willing

I been told land travel is not allowed air only

Hi there, we are from Canada and land and air travel is allowed for US citizens only if they are fully vaccinated with one of the vaccines that are approved in Canada. I purchased dukoral for my father at the nearby Costo. This was almost 3 years ago. I'm also wondering if he should take it again, but his response to Xtandi is so good that I don't want to rock the boat in any way. Good luck!

Land travel is allowed to fully vaccinated Americans whereas the same is not allowed for Canadians! I see Mt Baker every day and my bikes are pining for the twisties and the fish tacos after the day is done!

I have a motorcycle camping trip planned out and also on hold: Oregon up to the Olympics then the ferry to Victoria/Vancouver Island for some days then to mainland, Whistler, Cache Creek Kelowna etc then home via Osooyos. But Blackball ferry not running this year from Port Angeles. Rats! 😒

So put off to next year it seems. Will do another dose of Dukoral when there.

You could ride up to Vancouver, then ferry to Victoria, then ride up the island get the ferry to Horseshoe Bay then up to Whistler and in to the interior and then home via the Okanagan. Might get a little cold up in Whistler. Good riding though!
