Anybody trying intermittent Orgovyxx? Because it is a daily tablet, seems that it is superior to a 1, 3, or six month shot ...........you can try 4-5 days on, 4-5 days off, not months off.
Clearly, this is not standard of care for this new drug but seems to have great potential to alleviate fatigue without t her extreme risk of stopping for months and raising PSA. Insurance and most docs probably won’t go along with this but You can always spend the $2300. for 30 pills and try it with the right MO.

This will not work. Intermittent ADT lets the testosterone level recover so the patient will feel better. If you stop Orgovyxx for a week and then continue for a week the testosterone level will not recover that much to make you feel better. Firmagon is a very similar drug and testosterone recovery is very slow with that. You will just save 50% of the cost for Orgovyxx.
Thanks for the reply. One of the reasons I switched from Firmagon to Orgovyxx is the stated claim of Orgovyxx that testosterone recovers MUCH faster with it than any other similar product/injections. How would they know that unless they have some data proving it? That is what I am looking to find.
In this study they report: "Three months after discontinuing treatment, 52% of men on relugolix and 16% on degarelix experienced testosterone recovery ".
Further: "recovery was defined as the return of testosterone values to baseline or to >9.8 nmol/l [>280 ng/dl]". >280 isn't a complete recovery. So I do not expect testosterone to recover days after discontinuing relugolix.
Because it's action is so short-lived, you will give your cancer, but not you, breathing room by using this strategy - really bad idea. If you need a vacation from ADT, take more time off, but understand the risk of that.
Really dangerous to float these types of theories with no basis. We are lucky to have a clinical study to guide us...why wander in the forest with a blindfold on and risk losing all benefit from the drug?
