Spinal mets growing during chemo?
Chemo is unlikely to make your mets grow, but if it's not stopping them from growing, it's probably time to look at getting a different treatment.
One to consider would be Xofigo. That goes directly to the bone mets so would be worth discussing with your docs.
Wishing you the best in your treatments.
Great point !
He has already had Xofigo without apparent benefit.
I think there are false positives for bone growth during chemo. The bone inflammation can cause overgrowth. The radiologist has to inspect it carefully.
I doubt it !
Key is the person reading your scans. Very frequently as the metastatic lesion dies, new bone growth occurs

Very rough road you have traveled. Is PSA dropping strongly from the chemo? Scan will show what is happening in the bone sites. Maybe need to change to another for better effect? Above my pay grade as they say. Sending you heartfelt support.
