I'm curious if anyone knows more details about this new imaging agent that was just approved by the FDA. How does it compare with Gallium68? It sounds easier to manufacture but at what PSA levels is it effective? Thanks for any info!

I had it twice. At .5, it didn’t find anything but at 1.8 it found a few Mets. This was my personal experience, others might have different ones

It’s more sensitive (better definition) than GA68. Needs a PSA of at least 0.5. Read the appropriate section of the following report from Tall Allen ‘s blog:

There is very little difference between these tracers regarding sensitivity. However, Pylarify can be commercially produced in great quantities and shipped while for 68Ga-PSMA-11 the clinic needs a generator which provides limited amounts of the tracer only.

Thanks gang! The article I read did not identify it by anything other than the tradename. Now that I see that it is the F18-DCFPyL scan I’m a bit familiar with it.

Better than the Ga-68-PSMA-11 PET

Thanks for all you do! I’ve had a couple of those over the last two years and it’s nice to know there’s another option soon! Flying to LA or SF plus overnight hotel and the cost of the scan was a bit of a burden!
