Yes to fiducial markers and SpaceOar— I had them placed during HDR-Brachy, before IMRT, with no complications or SE’s from the procedure or the radiation, and had a good treatment outcome.

If by "surface ultrasound"you mean you will be treated on an Elekta Clarity linac, it doesn't require fiducials or SpaceOAR.

Ultrasound (not sure what kind) pics are overlaid with CT scan pic to help guide beam. My doc says since he's using the new SpaceOar Vue, he doesn't need the markers.

I had RT 44 treatments IMRT with low res CT scan before each dose and only stickers on my skin for machine alignment. No spaceoar and no issues. Just mt story !nd I may be one of the lucky ones. Stay still on the table, I used breathing and meditation during all of tests and treatments. Had a few nice naps as well.

I'm not a big beiever in SpaceOAR. After reviewing all the research in great detail, I don't think it does much and it's one more invasive procedure to avoid. I didn't have it and have had no long-term rectal problems.
