Xtandi shortage

The Air Force pharmacy has been unable to get Xtandi since December. Luckily I had enough until now. I have checked with all the off base pharmacies and no one can get it. Where is everyone who is not X military getting it?

If you are associated with the US military via the Tri-care system, this page will do a search for you for Drug = Xtandi, and perhaps give you some ideas/options for getting Xtandi to you via the "Express Scripts" partnership with Tri-care. Note that there may also be an option for drug deliver directly to your home address. Maybe work with your doctor/pharmacist.

Some qualified older US military veterans here get their Xtandi or other prostate cancer drugs though the VA system.

If you specify what base pharmacy you've been dealing with, perhaps someone here can help you search for other military pharmacies nearby, who might have some available in-stock to "share"/transfer?

(Personally, I happen to get my Xtandi via the Drug Formulary to my Health Insurance that is secondary to Medicare. They require a prior approval process, etc., but I get mine Fed-Ex shipped directly to my home monthly from a pre-contracted Specialty Pharmacy. It is allianceRx (Walgreens + PRIME), out of 2354 Commerce Park Dr, Ste 100, Orlando, FL., which is the current source for my secondary health insurance which is like a nation-wide version of Blue Cross Blue Shield for certain retirees. They charge the insurance system over $8k per month for it. My copay is $65.)

Luckily as a disabled veteran, I get mine UPS monthly from VA hosp. 120mi away.. No problem so far. With the Gov. mandating production of Covid vaccine, other drugs may be set aside leaving us out in the cold...

The manufacturer is sending mine through their pharmacy.So far no shortage.
