Pain during chemotherapy

Hi,

My father has recently had pain in his back (and sometimes leg/foot). Is it result of chemotherapy? Wouldn't it be supposed not to have/improve on those who feel pain (which was not the case)?

He sometimes had back and foot/leg pain, but due to a spinal hernia (several years ago). Once in a while I had a crisis. I think that is sciatic pain too.

Can chemotherapy worsen pain in those who have hernias or is it due to metastases?

Anybody know?

Often there is a temporary pain flare. How long ago was the chemo?

He rarely had these back pain (or leg / foot) crisis. Even before being diagnosed (without metastases). It could be chemotherapy, then.

The chemo was last Friday.

After the first and second sessions, he had pain and even a foot swelling.

I also experienced leg and calf pain during chemo it gradually subsided

I felt much much better 5 weeks after my course I was ready for a marathon

Before chemo I had back pain pain in my ribs due to metastatis and shoulders

Anyone can say what they want about chemo

I thank god chemo was available to me as a treatment

My last scan shows very small residual amount un the 7th and 8th rib that idont feel at all

I am very very grateful

I know cancer finds a way re appear but right now I am loving life

Maybe more than I ever have
