I ran across some old posts from Beauxman. Last one was 4 months ago. I then looked at his profile which ended with "deceased 12/24/19." He went thru a lot of treatments and didn't give up easily.

He was so young.... very sad ...never really had a break with effective treatments
I believe he was only 48 years old with two young sons. I chatted with him once. I tried to contact him but I never got a response. He fought a great but challenging battle. RIP buddy.
That's sad to hear, he was dx'd in 2014 with G10, shows how fast this disease can take us.

Very sad. Beautiful family. Reading his history he mentions prior use of propecia. Is there any indication that contributes to PC?

There’s conflicting information out there, but as a 5-alpha reductive inhibitor, there are studies that show Propecia reduces the risk of PCa by about 20%. On the other hand it’s said to mask higher grade PCa.
Breauxman's story tells us once again about a very fundamental fact about prostate cancer...and that is ..some PCa's are inherently very very aggressive and nothing much can be done to delay the inevitable ,
Fortunately, these extremely aggressive ones are not common...(only less than 10% of all)
There are clues to find out early on which ones will be really aggressive but thats a full topic in itself ...not enough space here to discuss about.
Gosh I hate to hear that...my prayers & sincerest sympathy go out to his wife & children...taken too young, but fought the good fight...I was so inspired by him, I printed out his profile and gave it to my husband...May he rest easy now...🙏
He went through so much in his short time with the disease. Sorry for his family.
Beauxman
Very sad. We private message over a year ago and told me he didn't want to leave his 2 kids. He was willing to take on new treatments. RIP my friend.
