Maybe a member or two will find the following useful. 6 weeks ago I finished my 3rd and last Provenge infusion. My health insurance consists of Medicare A & B. No part D prescription coverage, advantage plans, etc. I also have retired Federal employees health coverage. (FEHB). My federal plan is through Blue Cross. I recently received a statement from Medicare stating all my procedures including doctor visits were covered. However my final co-pay was $4,300 and change which my Blue Cross covered in full. Therefore if I only had Medicare A & B, my total out of pocket cost would have been the above mentioned $4,300 and change. Hope this information helps someone in a decision making process.
