Do you have any thoughts about the trial or is it too soon to tell?

It's only a year, and you would probably try enzalutamide anyway - so it doesn't seem to have a downside.

Try it! It is good that the Dr. is offering options .. Go for it ,it could cure ....I’m on a trial that’s has worked well for me . Good luck moving forward.

May I ask what your treatment is for this trial?

in reply to JLS1

It’s a now defunct adt drug .They failed to prove that it extended life for most..A very few like me had great results . I take 4 pink pills a day ...So far so clear no visible signs of pc for four years ... Tak -700 ....most stopped the drug due to Psa rise ,fatigue ,muscle and joint pain .

Wow, That is fantastic!! Can you tell me a little more about it and what mets you had when you started the treatment? Did you have certain traits that your oncologist felt you may do well on Tak - 700? Who's running the clinical trial? TIA

in reply to JLS1

My urethra and bladder were blocked with pc tumors . I had only two lymph nodes lit up . No distant mets. All in the pelvis . Prostate exploded. Non-op...First firmagon then Lupron with my Tak -700 of which I’m still on until failure..The test was for advanced pc yet to be treated , I fit the bill and got the test drug luckily . I’m plagued with the effects of castration and RT.. I’m just happy not to be in APC clutches right now. I liken it to the eye of the hurricane. Get your treatments and join me there .
