Sorry.... I think the stress is getting to me? I'm loosing my mind.. It's the Lu-177 trial... I've read so much but most goes right over my head. I need someone like you that can tell me in a way I can understand. We most likely will be going down to Jefferson here in phila next week to see a dr. There. Jefferson hospital can do the infusions but does not have the machine that can scan for PSMA. My husband and I will be going to Indiana for that.

Would so appreciate your opinion on this.

Thank you, Lynn

Hi Lynn, You have to take it one step at a time. The tumor has to show up on a PSMA pet scan or Lu177-psma-617 won’t work. He also has to have had Taxotere or Jevtana and an advanced hormonal therapy. You may also wish to call Scott Tagawa at Weill Cornell in NYC. He is trying some novel radio pharmaceuticals and can do the pet scan there.

Hi Allen, I try and talk myself into taking deep breaths, taking one step at a time... my nick name is "Nervous Nellie"!! Lol!!

Once again, I value your educated opinion. among many others do on this site. My, husband Sam has had all the treatments you mentioned, so I guess in that respect he qualifies. We were excited, my sister lives in in Md. We found out they were doing the PSMA scan in a hospital in Bethesda, Md. We could have stayed with my sister a couple days, and had the scan.. . Long story. Jefferson here in Philly would not except there scan?? So we were told we have to fly to Indiana??? Jefferson, like I said does do the infusions, we live in the suburbs of Philly so that won't be a problem after we get the PSMA scan.

Still might give Scott Tagawa a call.

Never give up and never give in!! Right!! Sorry about the long email, I ramble when I'm nervous..

That's again for all your help.

Sending wishes for good health !

Lynn

Scott Tagawa at Weill Cornell is the lead investigator there of the VISION trial too. He is trying out a few other radiopharmaceuticals in non-randomized trials. I'm pretty sure that you can get the PSMA scan there without flying to Indiana, and it's only a train ride away.

If its the Vision trial, Lutetium 177 doesn't work on liver tumours

I think you are looking for a trial in regards to liver metastasis....There is the VISION Trial:

clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show...

You could look at the ARV-110 trial--not liver specific, but promising:

clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show...

You could look at the MATCH trial --targeted therapy--they will do genomic testing on you and match you with appropriate treatment:

clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show...

Thanks for considering a trial to fuher knowledge and Good luck...

Lu 177 PSMA is a systemic therapy and it will treat the cancer anywhere in the body. The efficacy of the treatment depends on the tumor expressing PSMA. If a Ga 68 PSMA PET/CT or a 18F DCFPyl PET/CT show that the liver metastases are positive for PSMA, they could be treated with Lu 177 PSMA or with Ac 225 PSMA. There are clinical trials for these treatments:

clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/resu...

clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/resu...

Liver metastases could be treated directly with SIR microspheres:

Ronnie you are not four.... We are all laypersons.... not doctors... So all they tell you is like Greek to you.... Take many deep breaths and remember with doctors you call the shots... after their recommendations.. Bless you and your husband.

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
