So glad I don't get disability payments. Wife did for 2 years. About 25% of her employed salary. But I am a good juggler. We made it those 2 years. Was stunned when I became a one handed juggler. Found out I was a pretty good one handed juggler. Disability, medical insurance, maybe medicare next ...? Not appropriate for this site. Enjoy your evening.

Other than you being "glad" that your prostate cancer has not rendered you sick enough to limit your ability to function, or be gainfully employed, and that SSDI pays such a mere pittance can you further explain why informing those who have found themselves incapacitated by this disease of their rights, and of related news is somehow "inappropriate"?

Is not the availability of monetary assistance in a time of crisis as important as the prospect of a new drug, treatment plan, personal opinion or oddly a humorous anecdote?

How is that you are certain that everybody "knew" of the proposed cuts to SSDI.......?, and exactly when did a news article meant to inform become solely "political"?, the article is factual and unbiased as I read it and agrees with my personal experience as a SSDI recipient. Had the article read of a proposed increased would it be as offensive? And as far my "political tone", my initial post was a direct copy & paste..... and I offered no personal commentary, and as I reread this thread I see that it was you that first inferred a political slant.

Over 10 million American receive or are dependents of a SSDI recipient and as Americans all 10 million have the right to petition our government against any proposed budget cuts that affects them directly. I had that in mind when I made my initial post but I "refrained" from such suggestion hoping others would conclude the same. I see no wrong done.

Anti trump comments....? I see one mention of backing out of funding the special Olympics, a comment initially made by trump himself. Another member made mention of the trumps budget shortfall for the V.A., again how can a proposal made by trump himself be anti-trump? A third member expressed concern over the border wall, perhaps his concern is the $2.5 Billion trump wants from the military or the $1 Billion trump took from the Pentagons fund to fight the war on drugs, or maybe he believed trump when he old America that Mexico was going t pay foe it....?

Thanks for the info. A lot of us are only on Social Security or SSDI as our sole income because of our condition. Believe me I would love a miracle to get out of this crap and back in the work force.

I never said people were not entitled to SSI... Just that there are those that milk the system and therefore prevent the legitimate ones from receiving their proper due. A lot of people on the dole....take away from the pot of gold.
