Hey Everyone,

I am not the type to seek assistance, but I realize I DO need to speak with others fighting this.

I live in San José, California.

I looked on the website of the Prostate Cancer Research Institute. There is no locale within 40-50 miles of where I live.

Are there others out there who would like to meet up and support each other?

Yes you mentioned that. I am 60 miles away from UCSF; plus it starts at 5:00P. I would be driving 3+ hours there and back. That is why I used “Silicon Valley “. I do investigate and seek information prior to asking. The other meeting, if I am correct, at El Camino Hospital, has no meetings in the month of January.

I would be happy to start a group. Just need others to join. 😉 I know of a place in San Jose that can be used.

I was a volunteer at the Billy DeFrank LGBT Center in San Josè. I am sure they would provide space if requested.

I am in the opposite situation: living in SF and trying to get to an advanced PCa group. The Mountain View group sounds great but that is quite a long trip during rush hour. I am aware of the noon-2:00 monthly meeting at UCSF (cancer.ucsf.edu/support/crc... and the 7:00 weekly meeting in Marin (maringeneral.org/programs-s.... Neither of these are specifically for advanced disease. Anyone know of other meetings? If you are in the area and just interested in getting together please message me.
