Xtandi

On occasion I have tried to cut down on Xtandi from 4 tablets to 2. The result is I have felt worse on the lower dose and reverted to the higher dose after a few days.

Strange as the half life is 7 days so it should not make any difference.

My husband reports just the opposite of your experience with Xtandi. After a fall, his dose was cut in half and he is afraid to increase it. He has been on and off and on again since February, 2018, and his PSA has slowly dropped to 5.60.

I read that the average treatment duration of Xtandi is 8 months so I am worried. He had an Axumin scan yesterday and we get the results today so on pins and needles even after 18 years with this frickin disease.

When my Medina cut my dose in half? He did it by having me take the full dose every other day.

Lots of experience with Xtandi toxicity. Now on 90 mg /day. See my other posts for details. It made me an invalid at 160 mg dose. Also really bad effects from venafaxine which instead of helping with my hot flashes, doubled them. Gave me abdominal pain. Took my vision from 20/40 to 20/200, rather than improved my peripheral neuropathy worsened it. Now back to megase which works.
