every time I have had anything checked...it seemed like it was as bad as it could be at that point...but..alas, after almost a year on Lupron..and having just finished 6 sessions of Taxotere...I got my latest Axumin Petscan results...and WHEEEEE ! ! ! Good news..1/2 of my bone lesions are "not visible" and the ones that remain are almost 1/2 the size they were ! ! ! And NO new Lesions! ! ! AND the doctor says I get to go on my August Holiday to England, Scotland & Ireland. Life is Good ! ! ! ~~I am still going this weekend over to Tampa for a "second opinion" from the Moffitt Cancer Center.....and to hang out with friends there ...and eat at Bern's Steak House ! ! ! WHEEE ! ! ! I feel like I've been given "a reprieve"!

hmmm...I'm probably going to have a nice Vodka martini ....or maybe even a Southern Comfort Manhattan over the weekend~~so I'll be joining you long distance ! ! ! THANKS !
I think I'll call it a "reprieve"...and hope for a remission. I will be seeing someone on Monday at the Moffitt Cancer center in Tampa...for a second opinion...I'm hoping they have something up their sleeve that will help wipe it out completely for a while ! ! ! THANKS & have a great weekend!
John I am so happy for you, I have never seen the word significant improvement in anything in over 20 scans in my history, Significant is a term they must reserve for amazing!!!! So glad you got this news before your trip to England/ Ireland, We loved the west coast covered it from Cohb ,Cork, Dingle peninsula was awesome, Stayed at a Castle at end of Connermera, Galway was great, went to westport mayo and sligo, Knock ect.. awesome! Get a band b book for Ireland.
Wow, Dan..you've made me feel even better about these results! My doctor is a very "strong, silent" type...it takes a lot to get him to smile...or act "excited"about anything....but his P.A. was excited about the test findings! I will see what they think at the Moffitt Cancer Center on Monday...I'd be open to doing 3 or 4 more chemo ...right now...to get it even more wiped out! Although, I hope they have a better way in mind. The Taxotere ...sorta SUCKED ! ! ! LOL
Great news! Thanks for posting, it's fantastic to hear. You can enjoy your life even more now. Have a great vacation!
I hope Ken has GREAT results from his Chemo ! ! ! good luck. I'm going to try to stay aggressive as possible I want them(the metastasis) to GO AWAY completely ! ! !
great job John! You're doing very well! I'm happy for you. But don't forget to keep watching your food diet. We need to stay healthy for our loved ones! You are awesome!
Great news! Enjoy your celebration at Bern’s. We haven’t been over there in a long time, but they have some of the best steaks in Florida. Keep up the happy news! 😎
I appreciate this information because I had decided that when it got to the point when I needed chemo that I would quit treatment because I thought if chemo only prolongs life a few months why suffer even more before the end.
Most people now are doing chemo as soon as they get their stage four diagnosis. It is in some cases able to actually get rid of all the cancer from what I have heard. It definitely slows down the progression in most people.... And I won't lie , it sucked, but you can get through it.
16 months past my chemo. Have been on Xtandi , lupron and Xgeva since. Starting to feel pretty good for the most part, some bone pain in the ribs but not bad most of the time
Chemo can be very tolerable. My husband complained six cycles and never missed a day of work. Please research and if you decide to do it, also research management of side effects.

Well, I feel like we’re all running the gauntlet here and sometimes some blessed soul makes it through. Congratulations and keep those wins coming. I’m hoping to join you soon, all the best, Stan AZ
