I like the line that says:

"Those selected will be compensated, but the real value is for you to share your story on a national platform."

Please note that, in the USA, the price I found for the drug was $10,758.73 (See: drugs.com/price-guide/xtandi ) for a 30 day supply. Prices are less than half that in other countries (See: pharmacychecker.com/brand/p... )

I suggest that you write up your experience in a very attractive fashion and ask for a 10% commission on all sales to people who mention your experience as a determining factor in their selection of the drug. It's a great deal for you and an even greater deal for Astellas. With just ten patients you can be set for the rest of your life, or at any rate, the rest of their lives. Astellas does pretty well too.

Oh, wait, that sounds awfully crass. I take it back. After all, " ... the real value is for you to share your story on a national platform."

Sigh ...

The marketers of Provenge found an active, rugged, All-American guy to portray the image and benefits of their product several years ago. He has a blog. The subject of many news stories. Genuinely lives way out loud. People love him. Probably one of the best investments they ever made for any minor perks they may have sent his way as he became the face of Provenge on their promotional materials and advertising outreach.

Provenge comes in at around $93,000 for the three treatment infusions in the USA.

Yes, well, it is what it is. FYI Malecare (nor I) do not get a cut or payment for this. I posted as a favor for a helpful Astellas employee. And, I think some patients may find merit in sharing their stories and getting some compensation.

I understand, and I think that both you personally, and Malecare, have demonstrated a deep concern for others that has nothing to do with making money.

I thank you for it.
