Is there a clearing house for unused but still good medicine?

I may have some that someone could use.

It's nice of you to bring it up. My answer would be the same as Martin's. If you like, say what you have & when it expires, & see if people ask for it.

I have a month's (minus 1-2 days) worth of Zytiga. I was switched to Xtandi right after receiving my month's supply of Z. I am happy to send to anyone in need.

Hi Charlie,

Do you mind me asking how long the Z worked for you? I was turned down by my insurance for Xtandi, too $$$ I think. I'm on Z six months. PSA is 1.4, but it's gone up by .1, each of the last four months. It's not much, and I'm not really worried about it.

Thx, Joe

I was on Z for 20 months. My psa went up 1-2 pts a month so you are way ahead of me on that score. My bone scan showed much more activity at my 6 bone mets so doc switched me to Xtandi when my psa reached 31. Hoping to have same run on X. Try going onto the Zytiga website (google zytiga one) you can sign up for a $1,000 a month assistance from the company that manufactures it for a cost of $100/year. According to my specialty pharmacy the cost is $5,000/month. I believe Xtandi is about the same.

I'm covered at $35/month. Can you imagine not being covered, or not able to afford it. I couldn't deal with it.

I know trying to put a price on your life! We are lucky with our insurance companies.

in reply tocharmander

Well, it's not exactly luck. It's more accurately foresight and sacrifice, since so many millions of people refuse to buy insurance. Many of those choose instead to buy bling, under the assumption that suckers like you and me will take care of them when the $#!+ hits the fan.
