success after trying adderall

My 7 year old son is currently taking Adderral. He has been on it for 6 months. We have tweaked his dosage about 5 times. His last dosage change worked the longest. It was great for 6 weeks. But he has started back talking and being grumpy and irritable. 2 bad outbursts within the past week. He is at 50 mg of Adderral so we have run out of options I think when it comes to in creasing his dosage. His Pediatrician said we can try another medication, I for get the name, but said we should also start calling around to Child Psychiatrist’s and get on the list to see one in case the med change doesn’t work. Has anyone gone through many dosages of Adderral and found any success when switching to a different medication? This is really causing my son and our family to suffer. My marriage is suffering a great deal from this as well. Would love to hear from you all.
