Has anyone tried Mightier to help emotional regulation for children with adhd? It looks good and I can see it’s appeal to my daughter but am also worried she’ll throw us across the room in frustration!! get.mightier.com

It has helped my son. The results were immediate and have been long lasting. I'm not as good at getting him on it as I should be.

It just succeeded in pissing my son off. The games were very hard and he also found them boring. He was only 5.

I will say that I did see him taking deep breaths when mad for the first time ever. It just became an obsession for him and he wouldn't turn it off, threw fits bc he lost, etc. Age and video game ability might be a factor. He also figured out if he sat completely still, it reset without doing the breaths.

It also went off if he moved too much while playing.

We just got Mightier for our 9 year old son. He really does enjoy playing the games but the calming skills taught in the game have not translated into real life scenarios yet. So it seems to just be another video game console.
