This has been a wild week! Since most people are out of school, I wonder if anyone wanted to share online learning opportunities that help kids with ADHD. We will have 4 weeks of this so maybe we can help each other?

Thanks

You might want to register and join a webinar this Thursday put on by Additude Mag they will cover strategies for parents as we navigate keeping our kids home and keeping them motivated at home.

Setup a rewards system at home ASAP! Since most will be online, my son is doing well... since he doesn’t have a lot of written work. I gave him the choice.... when all your schoolwork is done, school is out. If it takes you 3 hours, you can have the rest of the day. If it takes you all day? Your choice, but school is out when it’s done. I set it clear for mine on the first day home. Working ok for now.... I spun it, and put it in his hands... you have a chance to go to school how YOU want to... so let’s make a deal....

Our schools haven't yet set up assignments so I don't know how this is going to go they're in the process of working on it this week.

Since their mother and I are still working the oldest age 15 is watching his 2 younger brothers during the day. So no one is at home to stay on top of assignments.

It is really going to be a challenge to figure this out.

Sorry it is such a challange right now for you guys and others. Our district is not requiring work, but asking kids to do Khan academy, read ( which we do while driving) and do a math presentation.

Please stay healthy and safe!

I am in the same boat as you. We are in Canada also and no online classes are set up yet. My eldest son is 15 and watching the other 2 as well. No advice, just that you are not alone :)
