Focalin -intestinal side effects?

My son is 5, diagnosed with ADHD. We just started him on 2.5 mg of Focalin one week ago just to see how he takes it. It has helped him focus better at school, but the last two days he has had some diarrhea. I knew nausea was sometimes a side effect of Focalin, but have any of your kids had diarrhea as a side effect? He doesn’t feel ill otherwise, so I am wondering if the medication may be causing it. My online research says it’s a side effect, but it seems to be a rarer one.

My son is on 10mg of Focalin. I have not seen this in my son but not saying it can’t happen. I would call his pediatrician if it continues or just to ease your mind.

My son is on 15mg and haven't seen any bowl problems. He will say he's not hungry, but that was a side effect our doctor had told us about. Never heard of intentional issues, though everyone is different. I'd say just keep an eye on him and if it continues call the doctor. 2.5mg is a very low dose so my first thought would be it may not even be related to the medicine vs maybe just some type of virus. Good luck, let us know what comes of this, I'm always curious about uncommon side effects to watch out for.
