Diagnosed but no help!

Hi, I had an MRI scan in May to look for endometriosis/cause of my pelvic pain. They noted Adenomyosis. However there was no follow up appointment. I have just got off the phone with my GP and she said this was just inflammation of the womb and wouldn't be causing any pain or other side effects and not to worry. This seems a very different response to the hundreds of women online and their experiences. My symptoms include severe cramps, abdominal and pelvic pain, low back pain, pain during sex, severe bloating. (Previously extremely heavy, long, painful periods, but the POP pill has fortunately stopped this.) I just don't understand why she would be so dismissive?! Surely it's related. ☹️

I haven't watched this site for awhile. I'm 60 now. I had everything you described in my 20's. I could not stand for more than 20 mins without severe pain. Trying to take care of 3 children. I have read that adenomyosis is worse than endometriosis for pain. Inflammation is painful. All I can say is there are good doctors and those that treat it like a job. You must fit into their A÷B=C profile, or they won't help. Finding a caring doctor is hit and miss. I would say it's totally related. Do your research on the latest studies. I'm sorry to say, but we have to be our own advocates. Hang in there, it won't always be like this.
