I can't say what is common. I have been on AS for more than nine years. I have seen rises, not just after initial diagnosis. Also drops. My PSA was 3.9 after being diagnosed. Over time it went as high as 9. My urologist said there are seasonal factors. Of course don't have sex or ride your bike right before taking the test. In rexcent years my PSA has dropped. I think taking Metformin for type 2 diabetes helped as did a keto diet. I have fallen off the wagon keto. But now my PSA is in the 4 range and I take the PHI test looking at three varieties of PSA. PHI says I am fine. So watch the numbers but don't let them drive you crazy.

I'm a bit all over, slightly up , slightly down. In 3 years since first abnormal, I've ranged from 5.2 to current 3.86.
