Great to be part of this unique way to get through what one would feel isolated which was terrible as I have a complex health issues that range from pain, bladder issue, MH, sleep issues and it has been so long, with going out by myself feels difficult. How can I get through and over my panic attacks when it comes on? Someone suggested I should always have a paper bag in my person, to breathe into; is this a fact?

Thank you.

Hi Luwell. Welcome to Action on Pain. Feeling isolated can be very detrimental to general health. I hope this group ( and perhaps Pain Concern which is also part of HU ) will be useful and supportive.

As far as panic attacks are concerned I would be looking to explore making meditation or relaxation sessions part of your daily routine. I found Mindfulness meditation gave me tools to help with dealing with my pain and the depression and low mood associated with it.

Hope you have as good a day as possible

Dee
