I was admitted to hospital for intravenous cortisone have no movement in my hips/legs caused by pain all joints packing in

Hi- I'm so sorry to hear this! I hope that you have improved by now. I just joined this community and saw your post. Yes, I've had that sudden, intense flare of joint pain in hands, wrists, elbows, knees, ankles feet toes- going through it now, in fact. I have found sticking to my methotrexate injections, and all other meds, increasing my steroid (my doc permits PRN increases to four times my 'normal' daily dose for up to a week, and then I taper down again), help. As my methotrexate increased, I was able to really decrease my steroid and maintain an imperfect, but far better, daily pain/fatigue control.

I am back to a 'flare' very similar to what you are describing and I think it is due to having finally weaned off of the steroid, and not having put anything else on board. I hate taking it, so am happy to wean off and use for 'flares'. Seems without it I live in a constant flare, though. My doc is considering adding in a biologic, with the methotrexate. I add in epsom salt and baking soda soaks when it is feasible and, again when feasible, try to get more rest. Gentle stretching with yoga helps me, if it is simply the joints flaring. If I've pushed too hard and am in full on flare, nothing really helps but tramadol, aleve, steroid, stahyingwith the other daily meds, soaks, magic swizzle mouthwash (put down below, as well) and being still.

I don't know if any of this helps. I hope so- but more, I hope that you don't need any of it and are feeling wonderful now
