Hello All , My father (74) was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer intermediate (on the border of favorable and unfavorable) with gleason 7, his bone scan and PET scan came out clean. After much fight I was able to get Pylarify approved. For members who have gotten the PSMA PET can you let me know

Gleason 9 - spread to lymph nodes, update on treatment plan.
I read a lot on here about other experiences, so wanted to post on update on my situation. Gleason 9, low PSA, already had TURP, spread to local lymph nodes in left side of pelvis. After many opinions, have decided on a treatment plan and will be treated by a team at Memorial Sloan Kettering. The

Bone Mineral Density and ALP
Before PCA, ALP was mid 60s. It rose to mid 70s after starting ADT in July 2019. Then in Jan 2021. ALP increased to 95. Now, 3 months being off ADT (last 3mo Eligard injection was July 2021) ALP increased to 103. I KNOW THESE NUMBERS ARE STILL CONSIDERED NORMAL. However, could this slightly and continuos

Probiotic supplements vs. diet and fiber for adv. prostate cancer. This is a short summary of my three days of research.
A study a few months ago said that certain strains of probiotic can help ADT work for a longer period of time - https://www.inverse.com/mind-body/gut-health-prostate-cancer-study#:~:text=In%20a%20study%20published%20Friday%20in%20the%20journal,this%20type%20of%20cancer%20therapy%20become%20more%20successful

Going off vacation.
I am now sixteen months no ADT. As of two weeks ago PSA is < 0.04 T is 10. Radiologist I still have a prostate) wants to radiate, one oncologist wants to do Chemo and wants to do nothing or high T treatment. Axumin scan three months ago show some more shrinkage from PSMA scan of eighteen months ago.

Newly diagnosed. My doctor is recommending SBRT plus 4-6 months of ADT. The ADT scares me. Interested in hearing others' experience.
How was short term ADT for you?

Risks of RT for bowel/bladder damage
I am new to the forum, and I expect to begin Radiation Therapy in March or April after two months of ADT. Among the many disturbing aspects of the treatment are the side effects of RT. Can anyone direct me to info on the risk of RT damaging the colon, bladder or rectum and then requiring even more disturbing

According to PSMA PET Scan all metastases found are in bones; so after discussion with Oncologist about options, Xofigo (Radium-223) is next

About 3 months ago my PSA started rising; went from 5 to 120, so the prostate cancer is officially classed as castration resistant. The Veterans Administration (My cancer is traceable to Agent Orange

Another setback
Last week I had another PSA test and it recorded 0.57 5 months after salvage radiation. Before RT to the prostate bed and pelvic area PSA was at 0.25. 1 month after RT it didn't decrease and it was already at 0.35. So today I had another PSMA PET Scan which came completely cleaned. My doctor, who I appreciated

Anyone heard from TomTom1111?
I have not heard of TomTom1111 for a while neither from posts nor from chat. Since he was pretty active before he began his ADT vacation last fall, I just hope that his absence means that he is taking a vacation from this site as well and not that things did not go well following his vacation. Anyone
