Different types of injections
Long story short my im having a hard time setting an appointment with neurologist. The drs office wont issue a prescription of cyanocobalamin without an appointment. I usually take 2 injections a week to keep any nasty neurological symptoms from coming back. The way i would work that out is i would

Am I really lacking B12?
I was diagnosed with PA around 2018, I had the camera down which confirmed atrophic gastritis, I had positive tests for anti parietal cells and intrinsic factor; so classic PA. My B12 levels were around 300 at the time and not considered low but i was given loading doses and monthly injections. However

Positive IFA, Negative Parietal Cell, B-12 injections affect IFA test
Hello, I recently tested positive for intrinsic factor blocking antibody but the result of my parietal cell antibody test was negative. I’m curious if other members have had this same experience? My doctors have suspected a PA diagnosis for several years. An IFA test about five years ago produced

Has anyone with Endo also been diagnosed as anaemic? Wondering whether it's linked due to the blood loss or a separate issue all together!

Very low ferritin with top of range haemoglobin can you then safely supplement iron to get ferritin up?
hi last iron haemoglobin was 15.7 top range of 15 and ferritin was 22 (as usual although that’s quite good for me! Range 15- 200(?)). I was beginning to get that rubbish short of breath way I do when ferritin goes very low (been at 3 few years ago). TSH was jumping about a bit and I don’t have other

Hi, recent blood tests have shown that I am slightly anaemic. I was diagnosed with PMR two years ago and my inflammatory makers are still slightly raised. I am on 2mg pred and feel I am doing ok, just a bit worried by the anemia. Has anyone else been told they are anemic and is it likely related to the

I’m waiting for Medichecks pernicious

tests to come back. I recently had a CT scan as part of my surgery follow up and it showed nothing untoward. The GP refused to comment on the gastritis and said that B12 is not deficient. He proposes to check my haemoglobin and recheck B12.

Question about B12 injections with MTHFR mutations
Hello all,A quick question from a newbie to the forum : Do b12 injections need to be in the methylcobalamin form for them to work if you have the MTHFR and related gene mutations? Or is this not necessary? Thank you.
